A painting by Vinnytsia artist Svetlana Telets that Ukrainian newspapers reported was repeatedly bought and returned by owners who said they dreamed about it.

Wikipedia says Svetlana Telets, an artist from Vinnytsia in Ukraine, painted The Rain Woman in 1996, and gives her account: for six months she felt watched, then a complete picture appeared to her while she sat before an empty canvas. She said she felt her hand was being guided, sketched for five hours, and spent a further month on the details.

In April 2007 Komsomolskaya Pravda in Ukraine found the painting hanging without a frame in a Vinnytsia shop, priced at $500, the most of any work there. The sellers said it had been bought and returned three times, and that the buyers said they dreamed about the woman in it. Gazeta.ua put the number of returns at four in 2011, and spelled the artist's name Tilets in its headline.

Komsomolskaya Pravda later reported that Sergei Skachko, frontman of the band Zemlyane, had bought the painting after that first article, having learned of it on a plane. In 2021 the Vinnytsia site 20 Minut reported that the painting had inspired a character in a work by a writer from Chicago.
