Peggy the Doll
A doll that Shrewsbury paranormal investigator Jayne Harris said made people ill when they watched videos of it, now shown in Zak Bagans' Haunted Museum in Las Vegas.
In 2015 the Shropshire Star reported that Jayne Harris, a paranormal investigator in Shrewsbury, believed a doll called Peggy held an evil spirit. Harris said she had received a flood of messages from people who reported ailments after seeing photos and videos of the doll. The paper said the video had spread worldwide and that up to 80 viewers had reported chest pains, nausea or severe headaches.
Zak Bagans later featured the doll on Deadly Possessions. The episode summary describes a seance meant to break an unhealthy tie between the doll and a woman, which it says had made more than 80 people seriously ill. Harris wrote a book, Peggy the Doll: A Very Different Haunting (CreateSpace, 2017), whose description says the doll now lives in Bagans' Haunted Museum in Las Vegas.
Wikipedia notes criticism of some claims made for the museum's objects, and says every visitor signs a waiver on the way in.
"Zak holds a seance to break the unhealthy bond between a woman and a powerful doll that has caused serious illness to over 80 innocent people. Then, he investigates the haunted thumb of a vicious bandit forgotten by history."
