Museum of Shadows
A museum of objects it calls haunted, with a site in Nebraska opened in 2016 and a second in Pensacola, Florida, opened in 2024, both run by Raterman.
The first Museum of Shadows opened in Nebraska, Raterman's home state, in 2016, the Pensacola News Journal reported in 2024, when Raterman opened a second one in Warrington, Pensacola. The paper said the Nebraska site remains open.
The museum's own website says it has sites in Nebraska and Florida and holds more than 5,000 haunted artifacts, which it calls verified, donated from across the United States and from other countries. It says it was voted one of the world's most haunted museums, that visitors report being touched, seeing apparitions and hearing voices, including children laughing and running, and that its security cameras have recorded poltergeist activity.
Raterman told the Pensacola News Journal he has around 5,000 haunted items, which he can move between the two sites. The paper says his best-known piece is a doll from the 19th century named Ayda, which topped a Destination America poll for most haunted doll, ahead of the Annabelle doll, and that Ayda would soon move from Nebraska to Pensacola. It reported that the Nebraska site has appeared on Travel Channel, Discovery Plus and Destination America, and that Raterman was shooting a programme for Amazon Prime, much of it in Pensacola.
