Ghost Adventures
A paranormal reality television series that began on the Travel Channel in October 2008, following Zak Bagans and his team as they investigate places reported to be haunted.
Wikipedia says the Travel Channel first aired the series on October 17, 2008, and that it switched to Discovery+ in 2021. A standalone film under the same name aired on July 25, 2007, on the Sci-Fi Channel. The investigators are Aaron Goodwin, Billy Tolley, Jay Wasley and Zak Bagans.
Bagans, the show's host and executive producer, runs Zak Bagans' The Haunted Museum in Las Vegas. The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported that he opened it in October 2017 on Charleston Boulevard, close to Las Vegas Boulevard, and planned to add a house from 1938, 11,000 square feet in size, once owned by the family of banker Cyril Wengert. The museum's website says it sits in the Wengert Mansion, which it describes as having a long occult history, and advertises cursed artifacts and belongings of serial killers.
Kenny Biddle wrote in Skeptical Inquirer in 2018 that guides singled out only a few items as haunted, that their back stories were less interesting and less factual than he had been led to expect, and that many rooms held sideshow displays such as clown mannequins and a circus diorama. Benjamin Radford of the Center for Inquiry visited in 2022 with fellow skeptics Susan Gerbic, Ian Harris and Biddle. He reports that photographs were banned during the tour.
