Arthur Conan Doyle's death came on 7 July 1930, at his Sussex home, Windlesham Manor, in Crowborough. Wikipedia says he was found in the hall of his house, gripping his chest, that he died of a heart attack aged 71, and that his last words were addressed to his wife: "You are wonderful."

The Psi Encyclopedia of the Society for Psychical Research says Doyle suffered a heart attack in 1929, the first of several. It records that in his last decade he gave Spiritualism lectures across Scandinavia, the Netherlands, Kenya, Rhodesia, South Africa, France, Canada, the US, New Zealand and Australia. A report of the day, reproduced by the Arthur Conan Doyle Encyclopedia, says his illness began the previous November, and links it to his lectures on Spiritualism in Scandinavia in October.
