Bobby Mackey's Music World is a nightclub in Kentucky with a haunted reputation. WCPO, reporting from Covington, described a sign at the club warning that the place is said to be haunted and that management takes no responsibility for anything ghosts or spirits do there.

Much of the story leans on a real crime. Pearl Bryan, who lived in Greencastle, Indiana, was murdered in 1896. Her body was discovered without its head near Fort Thomas, Kentucky, early on 1 February that year, according to the Putnam County Public Library in Greencastle. The case drew attention across the country, and the library says people still write to ask about her more than 110 years later. WCPO's headline links the lasting interest in her murder to the ghost rumours at the club.

The site's own history is older. Doubtful News (M. Cadwell and S. A. Hill, 2015) checked deed records and found that a building went up there in 1850 as a small slaughterhouse. That building was later pulled down and replaced. Three basement drains, which the ghost stories call wells, survive from it; they are said to have carried the slaughterhouse's blood and waste down to the river.

Research has not backed the legends. Wikipedia reports that searches of deeds, old newspapers and court files found no evidence for them and no established link between the club and Bryan's murder. It adds that Sharon A. Hill, a science writer, saw the stories gain details with each retelling over several decades, and that she calls the supernatural claims, including a "portal to hell", unsubstantiated. NKyTribune stated in 2015 that nothing has ever shown Satanic rituals, sacrifices or symbols on the property.
