The Anguished Man
A painting kept by a man from Cumbria named Robinson, who says he met paranormal activity after it came into his possession and has posted videos of it on YouTube.
LADbible reported in 2024 that Robinson, from Cumbria, has posted videos about the painting to YouTube and says he began to experience paranormal activity once it came to him. The article's headline says he heard it cry and moan, and that he won't part with it. Dread Central also reported that the painting is kept under lock in a safe place and is off the market.
Wikipedia notes that skeptics point to a gap: every reported event comes from Robinson or his relatives, and no independent investigation has confirmed any of them.
The story has moved toward film. Bloody Disgusting reported that La Brea Pictures acquired it for a film called Anguished, to be directed by Til Ricks.
"Skeptics have pointed out that all reported phenomena come exclusively from Robinson and his family, and that no independent investigation has verified the events.[10]"
